Free planning tool
Local AI readiness checklist.
Seven facts that prevent wasted installs, oversized models, and vague automation projects.
Windows and system type
Open Settings, then System > About. Record your Windows version and whether the system is 64-bit.
Processor and memory
Record the processor name, installed RAM, and usable RAM shown on the About screen.
Graphics hardware
Open Task Manager > Performance > GPU. Record the GPU name and dedicated GPU memory.
Available storage
Open File Explorer > This PC. Record free space on the drive where local AI would be installed.
One useful workflow
Describe one repeated task, its input, the desired output, and how you currently check whether the result is correct.
Privacy boundary
List which folders the system may access, what must stay off-limits, and whether internet access is allowed.
Success threshold
Write the minimum acceptable speed and quality. Include a real example you can use as a test.
Decision gate
Do not buy hardware or promise an automated outcome yet. First test the smallest model and workflow that fit these answers.
